La Universidad de Zaragoza tiene presencia en Huesca con aproximadamente 3.000 estudiantes de una veintena de titulaciones distribuidos en cinco centros y en diez edificios que se extienden a lo largo de toda la capital altoaragonesa.

El Campus de Huesca del siglo XXI está especializado en la formación de educadores, en los estudios agrarios y medioambientales, las ciencias de la salud, las ciencias del deporte y los estudios empresariales y de la administración. También se imparten títulos propios de postgrado que incorporan otras temáticas como las humanidades, el turismo, o el derecho.

The University of Zaragoza has a presence in Huesca with approximately 3,000 students from about twenty degrees distributed in five centers and ten buildings that are spread throughout the entire capital of Alto Aragón.

The Campus of Huesca of the XXI century is specialized in the formation of educators, in agrarian and environmental studies, health sciences, sports sciences and business and administration studies. Postgraduate degrees are also taught that incorporate other topics such as humanities, tourism, or law.

La ciudad / The city

Con 55.000 habitantes, Huesca es una ciudad dinámica y moderna, y una de las ciudades más ricas desde el punto de vista de la naturaleza y el paisaje. También es una ciudad tranquila y acogedora que ofrece una buena calidad de vida y una impresionante oferta de ocio y eventos culturales. Tiene una privilegiada situación pues se encuentra a tan solo una hora de los paisajes incomparables de los Pirineos al norte y treinta minutos de las austeras estepas subdesérticas de Monegros en el sur.

Hay colores de paisaje con fuerte contraste y variedad de climas, desde alpino hasta continental y mediterráneo, junto con una variedad de ecosistemas, difíciles de encontrar en otro lugar y en un área tan pequeña.

Con buenas conexiones con el resto del territorio nacional a través de autopistas, carreteras bien acondicionadas y trenes de alta velocidad y cercanías, la capital tiene una calidad de vida deseable con todos los servicios e instalaciones necesarios para una estancia placentera y variada acorde al ocio y necesidades del turista. Al mismo tiempo, Huesca es una ciudad de leyendas e historia. Acumula un rico pasado milenario y un carácter hospitalario y amable de su gente. Su configuración urbana y sus distancias cortas permiten al visitante pasear y disfrutar de sus calles, parques, plazas y su centro histórico, con sus destacados monumentos.

Ejemplos de tan importantes monumentos son la Catedral Gótica, la Iglesia y Claustros Románicos de la Iglesia Románica y los Claustros de San Pedro el Viejo, el antiguo Palacio de los Reyes de Aragón es hoy Museo Provincial.

El Ayuntamiento es de estilo renacentista aragonés y en su interior alberga una espectacular pintura, la Campana de Huesca, de José Casado del Alisal.

With more than 50,000 inhabitants, Huesca is a dynamic, modern and one of the richest cities from the point of view of nature and landscapes. It is also a peaceful, welcoming city with a high quality of life and an impressive offer of leisure and culture events. It has privileged location as it is only one hour away from the incomparable sight of the Pyrenean mountains in the north, and thirty minutes away from the austere subdesert steppes of Monegros in the south.

There are strong contrasting colours of landscape and variety of climates, from Alpine to Continental and Mediterranean, together with a variety of ecosystems, difficult to find in another place in such a small area.

With good connections to the rest of the national territory through highways, well-conditioned roads and high-speed and commuter trains, the capital has a very appealing quality of life with all the services and facilities needed for a pleasant and varied stay according to the leisure needs of the tourist. At the same time, Huesca is a city of legends and history. It collects a rich millenary past and hospitable demeanour that reflects the kind character of its people. Its urban configuration and short distances allow visitors to walk around and enjoy its streets, parks, squares and its historic center, with its outstanding monuments.

Examples of such important monuments are the Gothic Cathedral, the Romanesque Church and Cloisters of San Pedro el Viejo, the old Palace of the Aragon Kings is now the Provincial Museum.

The The Town Hall is an old Aragonese Renaissance palace and in its interior it houses a spectacular painting, the Bell of Huesca.
